How much does tooth whitening cost?

Whitening can offer long-lasting and relatively affordable results, giving you a brighter smile and more confidence to show it. Our costs are detailed below:

Private patients from: £350
With Denplan Essentials from: £325
With Denplan Care from: £300

Why buy from a dentist?

The safest and most effective way to whiten your teeth is using a product prescribed by a dental professional.

Whitening kits you buy elsewhere won’t contain the same level of active ingredients and could even include harmful substances including citric acid or bicarbonate of soda. These can dissolve stains but could also cause longer term damage to dental surfaces, which might cause bigger problems in future.

Professional products contain safe levels of hydrogen peroxide which are more effective and gentler on enamel. Your tooth absorbs the hydrogen peroxide and breaks down colour molecules, turning the tooth white from the inside, as well as removing stains on the outside.

Will whitening cause sensitivity?

Whitening can cause some sensitivity, which is completely normal, but it can be reduced by using a specialist formula. Phillips Zoom! gels include a desensitiser known as ACP that’s shown to reduce sensitivity without compromising on results.

Caring for your brighter smile

Once you’ve completed your whitening treatment programme, simply brush and floss twice a day to maintain your results for as long as possible.

It’ll also help to minimise your consumption of food and beverages which can cause staining, such as red wine or coffee.

Of course, it’s important to keep up with your regular dental and hygiene appointments too. If you notice the shade of your teeth starts to darken again, simply chat to your dentist about your next course of whitening treatment. Once you’ve got your custom trays, all you’ll need to top up on is whitening gel from your dentist.
